CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY

Focus

Beachlife is aware of its responsibility and is motivated to produce with as little harm to people and the environment as possible. Good working conditions and a healthy environment are important to us; this is where our focus lies in the coming years.

Laying down agreements

We have the Beachlife Code of Conduct which sets out our agreements with suppliers. The Code of Conduct contains agreements on important points such as safe working conditions, no child labor, no forced labor and responsible purchasing practices. This code is signed by Beachlife and by the suppliers. If individuals believe that Beachlife are not abiding by this code of conduct, they may submit their complaint by e-mail to info@beachlife.com. Beachlife will review the complaint and take appropriate action.

Safe factories

Beachlife works with a handful of factories; for the 2026 collection, 95% of the products come from factories that have a valid audit and are working on improvements where necessary. We are in direct dialogue with the factories regarding this.

Transparency and traceability

Beachlife finds it important to be familiar with the factories where its products are made, and where the materials used come from. Beachlife works with factories that are visited regularly, and have a social audit or are GRS certified.

Materials

The products of Beachlife are more than 95% made from synthetic materials, some of which are made from recycled materials. Beachlife uses no animal materials in its products.

GRS Certification

Beachlife is certified by Control Union for the Global Recycle Standard (GRS) under number CB-CUC-1352124 since August 2024. Beachlife products certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) contain recycled material that has been (independently) verified at each stage of the supply chain, from the source to the final product. In addition, social, environmental, and chemical criteria related to processing are required. More information about GRS can be found here.

In the 2026 collection, 30% of the items have an outer fabric made of GRS-certified recycled polyester, and 14.5% of the items have an outer fabric made of GRS-certified recycled polyamide.

Chemicals

For our policy regarding the safe use of chemicals, we follow the Oekotex 100 standard, which follows the legislation regarding the use of chemicals in the EU. Our goal is to purchase only products that are Oekotex 100 certified. In the 2026 collection, all swimwear has an Oeko-Tex 100 certification.

Packaging

For Beachlife packaging, we are working towards using materials with a smaller footprint. In 2026, 96% of the collection will be packaged in polybags made of 100% recycled plastic.

Footprint

In 2025, we will begin mapping our company's footprint over 2024. As a result of this measurement, a plan will be developed on how to reduce our company's footprint. In 2024, Beachlife's total emissions amounted to 38 tonnes of CO₂. In scope 1, the footprint was 14.4 tonnes of CO₂, in scope 2 it was 16.8 tonnes of CO₂, and in scope 3 business travel 6.5 tonnes of CO₂. Based on this measurement, we are examining how we can reduce our company's footprint in the future.
