HOW DO I MAKE SURE MY BIKINI/swimsuit LAST LONGER?
USEFUL TIPS & TRICKS TO KEEP YOUR SWIMWEAR LONGER BEAUTIFUL
Yesss, the new swimwear season is open again! You're all happy with your beautiful brand new Beachlife bikini orswimsuit for next summer or your tropical getaway. Of course, it would be a shame if your newest acquisition does not last as long or wears out faster because you wash it the wrong way, for example. Also, sunburn, sweat, sunlight, chlorine and salt water can lead to faster wear and discoloration of your swimwear. In order to ensure that your bikini or swimsuit longer beautiful, we have listed some useful tips for you on how to wash and maintain your bikini or swimwear. swimwear!
WASHING TIPS
1. Always follow the instructions on the care label.
2. Wash your bikini or swimsuit with a hand wash in cold or lukewarm water with and a very small amount of detergent for delicate laundry. Note: Make sure the detergent is well dissolved in the water before you start washing.
3. Never use fabric softener. swimwear discolor faster.
4. Does your bikini or swimsuit a delicate fabric, print or decoration such as beads and/or stones? Hand wash your swimwear then inside out to prevent damage as much as possible.
5. Be sure to put your bikini or swimsuit never put it in the dryer! Also, you should put your swimwear never wring it out. Rather, lay them flat to dry on a towel, for example (however, never do this in direct sunlight to avoid distortion and discoloration!).
MAINTENANCE TIPS
1. Do not wear the same bikini or the same swimsuit, but change your swimwear regularly to avoid discoloration and wear. This is because spandex (the material that swimwear fabric is made of) is a memory yarn, and therefore your swimwear need at least 24 hours to dry and return to its original shape. By alternating regularly, you will prevent your bikini or swimsuit deforms quickly or that the elastic stretches.
2. Wear spots, black spots and discoloration are almost always the result of sunburn, sweat, chlorine, salt water, sand or sunlight. Rinse your swimwear therefore always rinse with cold water as soon as possible after wearing to prevent discoloration and/or damage. Be extra thorough in this.
3. Try to avoid rough surfaces such as a stone beach or pool edge or use a towel as a surface to sit on.
4. Sunburn can cause unsightly discoloration. Therefore, try to give yourself at least half an hour before wearing your swimwear Therefore, try to apply sunscreen to yourself at least half an hour before wearing your bikini or swimsuit. When applying sunscreen while sunbathing or after swimming, try to do so very carefully. Preferably lift the edges of your swimwear to prevent stains.
5. Are you going to undertake a sporting activity (such as rafting or canyoning) or to a water park? If so, prefer not to put on your newest, fanciest bikini to avoid damage.
6. Hot tubs are also very bad for you swimwear. Therefore, wear an older bikini or swimsuit or rinse it out as soon as possible after you get out of the hot tub.
7. Never use an iron to get wrinkles out of your swimwear get them out (the high temperature may cause your bikini or swimsuit fall apart), but rinse it again with water.
